Foster Care Dedicated to Keeping Siblings Together

   South Carolina has an estimated 3,900 children in foster care, but only around 2,100 foster families—leaving approximately 1,800 children without a stable home. Notably, about 60% of these children enter care with a sibling or siblings.

Research supports placing siblings together in foster care promotes placement stability, reduces time in care, and minimizes emotional trauma."

At Pathways to Promise Foundation:

  At the heart of Pathways to Promise’s service philosophy is our steadfast commitment to keeping siblings together—from initial placement through permanency. Our sibling-focused model emphasizes early, purposeful permanency planning that begins the moment a family enters the child welfare system.

     

   Prioritizing meaningful family engagement to inform case planning and address each family's specific needs, promoting timely and lasting permanency. Professional foster caregivers whom provide support and model positive parenting skills to strengthen reunification efforts and promote long-term family stability.


    Our placement program accepts ages 0-18 who are in the custody of the child welfare system. Utilizing a treatment team that consists of Professional Foster Caregivers, Case Managers, Family Advocate, Youth Support Partner, and Therapists.
